A vacuum pump that uses the reciprocating motion of a piston to periodically change the working volume of a pump chamber (cylinder) for pumping, also known as a piston vacuum pump. The structure of a reciprocating vacuum pump is similar to that of a reciprocating piston compressor. When working, the suction pipe is connected to the evacuated container, and the exhaust pipe is directly connected to the atmosphere. The reciprocating vacuum pump has a large pumping capacity, with a pumping rate range of 45-20000 cubic meters per hour. The maximum pressure of a single-stage pump is about 103 Pa, and that of a two-stage pump can reach 1 Pa. Reciprocating vacuum pumps can be used for vacuum distillation, vacuum concentration, vacuum crystallization, vacuum filtration, vacuum drying, and concrete vacuum operations. If a condenser is installed at the suction port of the pump, it can extract gas containing water vapor; If a filter is installed, it can remove dusty gases.
